The Coalition for Transportation Choices (CTC) is a partnership dedicated to the vision of creating a 21st century transportation system that enhances our economy and provides all Rhode Islanders with healthy transportation choices.

All people -- employees, tourists, youth, elderly, able and disabled -– must have safe and dependable access to their community’s opportunities for work, education, services, and recreation. The system should be considerably less dependent on cars and fossil fuels as well as efficient, effective and easy to use. It should minimize impacts to land, water and air and improve the health and well-being of all Rhode Islanders. Such a system should be sustained with predictable and consistent funding for operation and future growth.

Who can join CTC? Private sector, advocacy and community organizations that agree with CTC’s vision and principles are invited to join CTC. Government agencies and individuals are invited to work with CTC but can not become members.

Expectations of CTC Members: CTC must speak with one voice on policy issues. CTC members are expected to support the policy positions of the CTC. Members who can not support CTC policies should speak with the CTC coordinators.
